Regent Mart & Cafe

My Dad grew up in the Chicago burbs and always raved about Gonnella bread. So when I came to the area for work, I was determined to find him a loaf or two. My Google search listed quite a few stores (mostly Pick n’Saves) that claimed to have Gonnella bread, but after stopping at 3 of those, plus a Jewel/Osco, we had no luck (some clerks didn’t even know what Gonnella bread was). On a whim, we tried this Regent Mart and they in fact, had Gonnella white bread, plus Gonnella hot dog and hamburger buns. It’s just a tiny little corner market, but they had what we were looking for. 🙂

The simbosa was very flavored and was a very good but the fish and the chicken were way over fried and the fries pretty much were and we’re kind of cold when I got them but I ordered doordash.

This convenience store is totally awesome! The owner is so so nice every time I stop in, and have always had good conversations with the other workers too. Their ready-made samosas are so delicious. I’m excited to try their boba and other hot foods soon. A great place to support.
